The fee regulatory committee for professional colleges, appointed by the Karnataka state government under the chairmanship of  Justice B Padmaraj, on Thursday stated in a press release that it had submitted its report to the government on March 7.

However, the government has already decided not to implement the report this academic year, despite the demand from private professional college managements.

The release said, “It is hereby informed to the general public that the fee regulatory committee has submitted its comprehensive report to the state government through the chief secretary on 07-03-2011.”

According to the rules, the fee fixed by the fee regulatory committee shall be binding for a period of four academic years (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15) and any revision of fee is permissible only thereafter.
