Some JD(S) workers who staged a protest against the Yeddyurappa-led BJP government in Karnataka at the parade grounds, the venue of Republic day celebrations, were taken into preventive custody today, police said."Twenty-nine JDS workers who were sporting black bands and shouting slogans at chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and his government were taken into preventive custody at the parade grounds", deputy commissioner of police (Central Division) G Ramesh said.They were later released, police said.
