Pet owners are increasingly taking up the offer of pet management companies to take them and their four-legged ones to resorts.
Every dog has its day, and some lucky ones have theirs’ in swanky resorts.
Affection for their pets is driving owners to take up the offer of pet management companies to take them and their four-legged ones to resorts. In the posh environs of the resort, dogs can laze in the sun, swim in pools, take long walks or just spend their time eating.
Anand Vishwanath, founder and pack leader of pet management firm Anvis Inc, says the firm book resorts like Linger on Tumkur Road, to conduct such events for pets once in two months. The activities include pool parties and games that provide enough recreation for the pets.
Vikram R, an information technology professional, says: “What many don’t realise is that dogs too need to wind down. The concept of taking dogs to resorts is catching up.”
Fellow techie Preetham P says children too have a whale of a time at such outings that turn out to be family fun events.
“Our four legged friends need to unwind and need a space to do so where they can swim, exercise, and run around. Most of the pets in the city are confined to their homes or apartments with their outdoor time limited to daily walks,” says pet lover Adnan Quraishi, who owns Paw and Claw pet club.
Many breed clubs in Bangalore too are coming up with new and innovative concepts in pet care. “We are training the dogs to do what they are naturally built to do. This is necessary as pets have no exercise in the cramped space of urban homes,” says Vishwanath.
Animal owners are also accessing pet sitting services, which offer to take care of dogs while their owners are out at work.
