Another case is that of an MNC investment bank, which has been looking for a global delivery head for over three months, and the position is still open.

A leading telecom company has also been looking for its marketing head for some months now, and the position has been put on hold.

Even prominent names such as PepsiCo, Videocon and Reliance are no strangers to this phenomenon.

These situations are now becoming frequent. Though the obvious reaction would be to attribute it to the global financial crisis and demands for heftier pay cheques, the reality is far from this.
