The high court, on Wednesday, directed the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), state government and the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) to file their objections in four weeks to a petition, which alleged that civic agencies had misapplied and misappropriated funds earmarked for developmental schemes running into crores of rupees. KG Nagalakshmi Bai and others had made the allegation in a petition filed in the high court. They contended that large-scale misuse of funds was exposed in a report following an inquiry into the implementation of developmental works carried out by the engineering divisions of the BBMP in Gandhi Nagar, Malleswaram and Rajarajeshwari Nagar from 2008-09 to 2011-12.
