Training Command, IAF, administered the pledge. He also gave away commendation cards of Chief of Air Staff and AOC-in-C of the Training Command to officers, airmen and civilians of the Headquarters Training Command.

Governor HR Bhardwaj paid a visit to the Command Hospital, Air Force, Bangalore. He was received by Air Marshal Kukreja and Air Vice-Marshal Anil Behl, commandant and principal of the hospital, and accorded a ceremonial welcome.

In his address, Bhardwaj said that care of Armed Forces veterans, their families and families of martyrs was close to his heart. He showered praises on the hospital for their commendable job. He said it is a matter of pride for the IAF that a state-of-the-art trauma centre is being established there.

He said the provision of timely care with the ‘Golden Hour’ concept by the Command Hospital will go a long way in saving many lives.

A modern cardiothoracic and vascular surgery centre has recently been set up there and now open-heart surgeries and cardiac bypass graft surgeries are regularly being conducted.

The governor visited the casualty, trauma and cancer centres and met the patients there. His wife Prafullata Bhardwaj visited the children in the paediatrics ward and distributed fruits and sweets.
