Ola Electric is all set to unveil its range of e-scooter on Sunday, on the occasion of 75th Independence Day in India at 2 pm. The event will be held live on Ola's social media handles. Ola Electric scooter has been rolled out from the Ola Futurefactory based in Tamil Nadu, announced Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on Sunday ahead of its launch.

CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on Twitter said, “Built the first scooter in our Futurefactory today! From barren land in Feb to this in under 6 months despite a pandemic!! The @OlaElectric team is just amazing."

 

The company has not revealed any details but has just announced the colours of the e-scooters in which they will be available. The Ola electric scooter will be available in 10 colours, black, purple, red, white, yellow, blue, pink and grey variants. According to the Ola website, people can reserve an Ola scooter by paying a minimum amount of Rs 499 by net banking, UPI, e-wallets, OlaMoney or credit/debit cards.

The website said, "Reserving your Ola Scooter now will put you in a queue and give you the first purchase preference when we announce deliveries."

According to reports, the e-scooter can run up to 75 km on a 50% charge and 150 km on a full charge. The scooters are expected to have best-in-class 50-liters under-seat storage, reverse function, LED lighting and charging time.

The company is planning to set up over 100,000 charging points in India.
