ANALYSIS
What will the Taliban, which only has the experience to attack, do after being attacked and how will it save the lives of the people in Afghanistan?
The biggest news of the world at this time is that there have been two big explosions near Kabul Airport in Afghanistan and in these explosions, at least 13 people have died and a large number of people are injured. America has also confirmed the death of some of its citizens in this attack.
The first explosion happened near Abbey Gate of Kabul Airport. This is one of the four gates from where people go inside the airport. While the second blast happened near a hotel about one and a half kilometres away from the airport. This attack was carried out by suicide bombers.
ISIS Khorasan has claimed responsibility for this attack. Khorasan refers to the area through which radical Islamic forces dream of establishing Islam all over the world.
The four gates of Kabul airport were closed since this morning because America and NATO countries were apprehensive of such terrorist attacks. The US Defense Ministry has also confirmed this blast and said that more such blasts could happen now. That's why America had already asked its citizens to stay away from the airport.
At present, security has been increased around the airport. But the question is that what will the Taliban, that only has the experience to attack, do after being attacked and how will it save the lives of the people of his country?
For the time being, Britain has called an emergency meeting after the attack, and France has also said that it will soon evacuate the workers trapped in its embassy in Kabul and its country's ambassador.
US President Joe Biden had expressed the possibility of this attack a day earlier. The Intelligence Unit of America also issued an alert asking its citizens to stay away from Kabul Airport. It was also said in this alert that those who are standing at Abbey Gate, North Gate and East Gate of Kabul Airport should be removed from there immediately because there could be a big attack. And this explosion happened near Abbey Gate. This shows that America had the right information about this terrorist attack.
Britain's Armed Forces Minister James Heappey had said in one of his interviews this morning that he had already been sent the lines which he had to read in front of the media after the attack on Kabul airport. Not only America and Britain, the armies of NATO countries also got the alert of terrorist attacks 24 hours in advance. But these western countries, who call themselves the world's superpower, did nothing more than closing the gates of the airport and issuing alerts. These countries let thousands of Afghan civilians out despite knowing about an imminent attack.
The terrorist organization ISIS-Khorasan has claimed responsibility for this attack. This is a branch of ISIS and Khorasan means Ghazwa-e-Hind. That is, to establish Islamic rule in India. This organization believes in more radical Islam than the Taliban and believes that it is the one doing real jihad, not the Taliban. So there can be two motives behind these attacks by this terrorist organization.
The first objective may be to challenge America, which fought for 20 years to eliminate such organizations. So today the big question is whether a country like America will remain hiding inside the airport even after this attack or will it take action against this terrorist group and save lives.
The second objective is to challenge the Taliban, which believes that it alone has control over the whole of Afghanistan. But such groups are attacking and telling it that they too are active in Afghanistan and can still carry out major attacks. However, it will be called the misfortune of Afghanistan that people are being killed in this fight between terrorists and the whole world is shamelessly watching all this happening.
These bomb blasts at Kabul airport can also change the direction of the Afghanistan crisis. Because the first condition of the Doha peace agreement between the US and the Taliban last year was that the Taliban would not allow such terrorist organizations to use their land. But this agreement was broken before the departure of America. Therefore, now the challenge before the US is whether it will cancel the decision to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan in violation of the agreement or continue the rescue operation ignoring these attacks. If this happens then the peace agreement will have no meaning.
Since the Taliban captured Kabul, the hospitals there have been almost closed. Medical supplies are about to run out and doctors are also not working because of fear. In such a situation, how the injured will get treatment there is also a big question.
There is no government, no police and no army in Afghanistan. If someone is roaming the streets with weapons, then it is the Taliban terrorists, who have experience in attacking but have no experience in handling situations after the attack. So it remains to be seen what happens to the people there now.
