Today we have a question for you and the question is, how is it 'secularism' to give relaxation in lockdown on Eid in Kerala and how is it 'communal' to allow Kanwar Yatra in UP? When the Constitution of our country came into force in 1950, we were promised that every citizen living in this country will get equal status, regardless of religion or caste and we will be called a secular country.

We were promised that Holi, Diwali, Christmas and Eid will be celebrated equally. The same rules and regulations will apply to all. But today, after 71 years we are again raising the same question that why do different rules apply to Diwali and Eid in our country?

Today, the Supreme Court held a hearing regarding the case of Kerala, in which the court termed the relaxation given by the Kerala government in the lockdown on Eid as playing with the lives of the people. In this hearing, the Supreme Court made two big points.

The first thing is that the same rules are applicable for the Kanwar Yatra in UP, the same rules apply to the festival of Eid in Kerala.

The second big thing the court said is that if there is an outburst of COVID cases in Kerala due to relaxation in the lockdown, then any person can bring it to the notice of the court and after that the court will take appropriate action on it.

The point is that if the Supreme Court had taken suo motu cognizance on Eid like the Kanwar Yatra, then perhaps this crowd would not have gathered. The Kerala government today said in its clarification that the relaxation in the lockdown was given because the shopkeepers and merchant organizations were demanding it.

According to the 2011 Census, about 27 percent of the population in Kerala is the Muslim community. Whereas in UP, the Hindu population is about 80 percent. The thing to understand is that elections to the Legislative Assembly are going to be held in UP next year, but despite this, the Yogi government of the state banned the Kanwar Yatra. But due to the Muslim population of about 27 percent in Kerala, the Left government of Kerala could not ignore this vote bank.

The bitter truth is that the governments which run by raising the flag of secularism, the same governments promote the principle of communalism and do politics of minorities. But this template is never discussed in our country.

At this time, not only in Kerala but in different cities of the country, a huge crowd of people is gathering in the markets for Eid shopping, but this crowd is not being seen through the glasses with which people gather on the festival of Diwali and Holi. In a copy of an article, published by an international media network, it is written that 'Diwali is Looking Like a Super Spreader' But will the same things be written for the crowd gathering across the country on the festival of Eid?

This crowd can also become a super spreader like the crowds that gather on Diwali, Holi and Kumbh and should not be seen from a different angle. Although the cases of corona are decreasing in India, this crowd has raised concern and many people are asking whether the festival of Eid can become the reason for the third wave of corona?

A new report has revealed that at present, goats and other animals are being sold illegally in 23 places in Mumbai. This situation is when the Maharashtra government has decided to keep such markets closed, banning the sale of live animals in view of the danger of corona. But despite this, these animals are being sold indiscriminately to be sacrificed on Eid.

The same report states that the number of animals being sold in Mumbai is more than 1 lakh and all these animals have been bought for sacrifice from Assam, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. And this work is not being done secretly. Rather, these animals are being sold at high prices.

In Jharkhand's Bazaribagh, goats worth up to Rs 50,000 are being sold. Think about what kind of sacrifice was made and what will happen to the rights of these animals?

Today we appeal to you to celebrate Eco-Friendly Eid. Celebrate bloodless Eid this time and stop sacrificing innocent animals.
