Young lioness found dead in Talala area of Gir Somnath district
Deputy Conservator of Forest (DCF) Gir West Dhiraj Mittal says that there were no injury marks on the body and it was found in revenue area
The body of a young lioness was found from a farm in Amblash village of Talala area in Gir Somnath district. The decomposed body believed to be 5 to 6 days old was discovered by villagers after it started to stink.
Deputy Conservator of Forest (DCF) Gir West Dhiraj Mittal said that there were no injury marks on the body and it was found in revenue area. “We have sent the body for post-mortem. We have also sent some samples for further investigation. As of now the cause of death is not clear,” said Mittal.
