Yashwant Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha to attend Hardik Patel rally

After appearing in a fast programme in Ahmedabad by quota stir leader Hardik Patel, former finance minister Yashwant Sinha and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha will accompany him in farmers rally.

Patel will hold a protest rally against the government on October 31 at Vanthali town of Junagadh taking ahead demands for farmers.

Patel announced on Thursday that both the leaders reportedly being at loggerheads with PM Narendra Modi would remain present as special guest in the rally. He also launched banners accordingly and put them on social media inviting all to attend the rally for protest against anti-farmer approach of government.

Hardik said, "If BJP can not respect farmers, how can the leaders of farmers respect Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel? The dream of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was that the farmer should not be unhappy, but BJP made the farmers miserable and ruined. On the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, lakhs of farmers will be united in Junagadh and will pay a true tribute to Sardar Patel."

Hardik has put forward demands like waiving off debts of farmers, payment of crop insurance, round-the-clock power supply, purchase of agricultural produces at minimum support price, supply of water for irrigation, subsidy in farming tools, seeds and pesticides.
