However, his career in crime ended after just two attempts, as he proved too naïve for the crime.

On April 29, Sabarmati police nabbed Anil Bodana, 31, a resident of Ghanshyamnagar in Chandlodia. According to police, Bodana snatched a gold chain worth Rs50,000 from Shardaben Patel, 65.

In her complaint to Sabarmati police on April 29, Patel alleged that a biker snatched her gold chain near an open road at GST crossing in New Ranip. Luckily, a local boy noted down the number of the bike and gave it to her. Based on the number, Sabarmati police caught Bodana the same day.

Investigation revealed that Bodana is married and has children. He works as gas welder. He got inspired by the frequent news of chain-snatching. Before Patel, he had targeted a woman in Naranpura.

However, cops caught him before he could target anyone.
