Tax practitioners from Ahmedabad submitted a memorandum this regard to the district collector as well as commissioners of State GST and Central GST, as a part of a nationwide drive to appraise governments about the problems faced while filing GST returns and adhering to compliance under GST.

Tax practitioners under the aegis of National Action Committee (NAC) of GST Professionals, on Friday, submitted the memorandum to district officers and GST commissioners in over 300 districts of the country demanding simpler Goods and Services Tax (GST) and ease of compliance.

They claim procedures for filing GST returns and compliances under the new tax regime are so complicated that businessmen have to devote more time to ensuring compliance rather than focusing on growing business.
