According to local police, a compromise has been reached between the mob and youth and so the youth were unwilling to file a formal complaint
A mob in Gondal city of Saurashtra region stripped two youth for allegedly writing abusive words on a stand up of a statue at crossroads in city on Thursday. No complaint was filed in this regard.
The youth, Ranjit Girdhar Makwana (27) and Dileep Gordhan Bavaliya (24), were found writing abusive words at popular 'Mandhata Chowk' (a popular local crossroads) at about 10:00 am on Thursday. As the local Koli community knew about the abusive writings, they rounded up the youth and started beating them up. They also stripped them up and made them erase the writings. Both Ranjit and Dileep also belong to Koli community. They also apologized for their deeds. A local Koli leader mediated and prevented the mob from further beating up the youth.
In injured duo was brought to a local government hospital, but they refused to file a complaint against the mob. According to local police, a compromise has been reached between the mob and youth and so the youth were unwilling to file a formal complaint.
