Amitabh Chauhan, a student of St Ann's School in Bopal, ranked 5th while Stuti Shah, a student of Kameshwar School in Jodhpur ranked 36th. Tanuj Presswala, a student of RD Contractor high school from Surat ranked 32nd.

Shah, whose father is an orthopedic and mother is a pediatrician, said there was always an expectation that she would go in the medical field. But, the teen aspires to be in the field of medical research. "I wanted to do research in medicine and during my coaching got to know that AIIMS provides one of the best research opportunities," said Shah who wants to be part of AIIMS Delhi.

Interestingly, Shah said she never lost any sleep over her exams. "I studied the usual eight hours and even pursued music while preparing for my exams," said Shah. In fact, the ranker says she regularly went out for movies, played cards with her parents and did not make any undue changes in her lifestyle because of the exams. "My teachers had advised me to do yoga and meditation and how it could help to calm down. I followed it regularly," she said. "It helped that my parents were doctors and they would often teach me biology," said Shah. She has a word of advice for future aspirants. "Concentrate on your strengths. If biology is your strong point, attempt it first and attempt the subject that is your weak point the last. This way, you will get a confident start in your exam," said Shah. She also advises that students should attempt the easy questions first.

"This will leave you enough time to tackle the difficult ones later," said Shah.

Presswala, whose father is an anesthetist while the mother is a homeopath doctor, said he did not do any unusual preparation for AIIMS apart from attempting various mock tests. "The difficulty level of the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is high. The pattern is different and the number of questions is also mor ," said Presswala.
