The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), a national level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses was peaceful in the state. Around 80,000 students were expected to take part in the test conducted by the National Testing Agency.

The test began at 2 in the afternoon and ended at 5 with kids reporting that most of the questions were not tough. Some said the chemistry paper questions tested the understanding of concepts but overall it could not be said that they were complicated.

In Ahmedabad, a student Mukul Gupta was left in tears after he reached his centre in Ghatlodia just five minutes late. Gupta later told media that he had forgotten his photograph and had gone back to fetch it as a result of which he had got late by five minutes. It should be noted that NEET rules clearly state that students should report to the centre by 1.30 pm and no delay will be entertained. In another Jalaram School in Godhra, a ruckus was reported after the authorities did not allow students who did not have an Aadhar card entry into the examination hall. Later the matter was settled after the students produced photo I-cards.
