Director General of Police Shivanand Jha issued an advisory on Saturday in order to make the night patrolling stricter. The DGP said that at least 30 per cent the staff of a police station has to be spared for night rounds.

As per the advisory, every police officer has been asked to wear their uniform during night patrolling in order send a tough message to the miscreants. Around 30 per cent of the staff, including the D-staff, writer and lady police are spared for night rounds.

After completing the night patrolling, the staff should inform their respective police stations and the control room by 8 am the next day.

The senior police officers have been asked to make a patrolling route, fix points and check post for it. During patrolling, suspected vehicles should be thoroughly checked and the check post entering into the city will be barricaded.

Apart from that, night patrolling staff will be given a patrolling book which will have the details of the wanted criminals so that they can put a watch on them.

The top cop also asked the police to be polite with the public during the patrolling.
