Of them, 184 students in groups A and B have managed to score over 99 percentile and 2,343 above 98 percentile.
According to a communiqué released by the board, only 86 students secured A1, that is they scored between 91 per cent and 100 per cent marks while 2,537 got A2, which is between 81 per cent and 90 per cent.
While 74,306 students appeared for the exam in group A, 42,199 appeared from group B. Again, 41 students appeared from group A-B in the examination.
According to the new system, the GSHSEB does not announce the number of students who have passed the second semester exam.
Students need cumulative 33 per cent marks to pass the exam in all four semesters of class XII science, said a board official. Officials only declare the results of students — if they passed or failed — at the end of four semesters.

Thirteen students secured A1 grade and 314 A2 grade. Similarly, only one out of the 5,573 examinees from the rural areas of Ahmedabad got A1 grade and 137 A2 grade.
