PM Modi to visit Gujarat today, flag off Ahmedabad Metro Rail

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday will inaugurate the commercial run of Ahmedabad Metro Rail project on the stretch of Vastral Gam to Apparel Park. PM will also travel through metro rail.

PM's two days visit to home state Gujarat starts on Monday morning. Besides laying foundation stone for desalination plant project at Jodiya village in Jamnagar district he will also inaugurate the drinking water and irrigation project through SAUNI scheme in Saurashtra. The PM is scheduled to reach here at 11:30 am and will also inaugurate renovated building of Guru Govind Singh General Hospital here in city and will announce affordable housing scheme.

In afternoon, PM will reach Ahmedabad and will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Vishwa Umiya Foundation, an organisation to be raised by Kadva Patel community at Jaspur village in the outskirts of Ahmedabad city. Around 5 lakh people from the community will attend the event where PM Modi will address them.

PM will flag off the Metro Rail project at 5:30pm from Vastral and then he will reach at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital at 6:30 pm where he will inaugurate the renovated Civil Hospital building that has 1,200 beds capacity been increased after renovation. PM will also address a public rally.

On the next day morning at 9:30, PM will inaugurate the project of temple by Leuva Patel community at Adalaj village near Gandhinagar where Annapoorna Mata temple is going to take shape. He is going to perform the formality of national luanching of Shramik Pension Yojana announced by central government in an event held at Vastral area of Ahmedabad city at 11:30 am.

Prime minister is also going to perform Shivratri Puja on Monday night at Dholeshwar temple near Gandhinagar.

SECURITY

Ahmedabad police has deployed 2 DCP, 2 ACP, 7 inspectors, 25 sub inspectors, 380 constables and other security agencies to maintain law and order.
