The students had already taken the Mathematics exam on Tuesday. It was the same question paper that was handed to them on Wednesday.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has blamed the printer for the mix-up.

“The error was made by the printing press, which has delivered us yesterday’s exam paper today as well. The exam was delayed by half an hour because of this,” said Lagdhir Desai, school board administrator, AMC. “Meanwhile, we managed to obtain question papers from our control room where extra papers are kept for emergencies. We are going to serve a notice to the printing press for the mistake,” Desai added.

The students were given half an hour more to finish the paper.

Sources said the invigilators at the exam centres came to know of the blooper only half an hour after the papers were distributed.
