VS Hospital is all set to get a new multi-specialty hospital on its campus soon at a cost of Rs331 crore. The ground breaking ceremony took place on Saturday.
However, the function became a political event after revenue minister Anandiben Patel began appealing to people to vote for
CM Narendra Modi.
AMC will now have three towers, instead of two as planned earlier, housing 1,450 extra beds. The three towers will have general, semi-luxury and luxury rooms for patients.
An estimated Rs180 crore was to be spent for construction of the twin towers but with an extra building, the cost for construction is estimated at Rs331 crore. The 62.2 metre, 19-storeyed building (with ground floor and two basements) will have built-up area of 14.50 lakh sq feet spread over 6.25 acre land.
