More than a week after she was first reported missing, Vrushti Kothari has apparently sent a letter through an mail to her mother informing her that she is safe. Police are yet to confirm if the mail from which the email is sent is Vrushti's. They are also tracing the IP address from which the mail was sent.

The mail addressed to Vrushti's mother apologises for the inconvenience that she caused and that it was never her intention to hurt her mother. In the mail, Vrushti states that she has got a job and speaks of an intense spiritual experience which would be difficult to explain. The email, however, makes no mention of her friend Shivam Patel.

"There were some things I couldn't live with. While you were gone, I had some very intense spiritual experiences which I cannot explain to you. Those experiences made me take certain actions. I am emailing you to let you know that I am perfectly alright," the email states. It also mentions that she has got a job and apologises for hurting her mother. The email ends stating that she is happy. The email was sent on October 7 at 3.22 pm.

Deepan Bhadran, DCP crime branch when contacted about the veracity of the email said, it was too early to comment. "It is an ongoing investigation and at this point, we can't confirm or deny anything," said Bhadran. Sources close to the case said police are trying to find out if the email ID, indeed, belongs to Vrushti and the place from which it was sent.

Vrushti and her friend Shivam, who went missing from September 30, were last seen taking an autorickshaw. Initially, cops had traced her mobile phone to Madhya Pradesh.

Vrushti had gone to her childhood friend Shivam's house on September 29. They left Shviam's house the next day and have been missing since then. So far the cops have taken the statements of Vrushti's parents, their servants as well as the driver who dropped her off at Satyam's place.

Statements of her friends have also been taken. Cops sourced several CCTV footage to know where the two went. A CCTV footage of the couple alighting from an auto at Kalupur railway station also emerged, although Vrushti's mother could not confirm if the female in the footage was her daughter or not.
