On Saturday, Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA), witnessed a power-packed schedule, with back-to-back talks of eminent people from various fields, discussing their hardships and achievements with students and faculty of MICA during the institute's second TedX talk.

Themed on 'Now What?' this second edition of TedX at MICA had social entrepreneurs, speakers from theatre, LGBT community, and musicians talking about what the theme meant for them and their fields.

The session opened with president of Mumbai Dabbawala's Education Association, Pawan Agrawal who highlighted the accuracy, dedication and commitment with which the dabbawalas worked and how these workmen delivered more than just food, including love letters and an employee's monthly salary.

Second in line was Irfan Alam, founder, Samman Foundation which helps rickshaw-pulling drivers. He claimed that his business was neither a CSR nor a charity but a socially relevant business opportunity aimed towards turning certain aspects of hand-pulled rickshaws into battery-operated and/or solar-powered.

Harish Bijoor, a brand consultant, left the audience with some memorable 'Bijoorisms', "In a market where everyone's shouting, the one who shouts the least is heard the most."  Parmesh Shahani, the author of 'Gay Bombay' and head of Godrej Culture Labs, spoke about the LGBT community in India post the amendment of Section 377 of the IPC.

He said, "TEDx MICA has been an excellent brain massage. The theme chosen is both a reflection on change, as well as a call for action. I loved being here, interacting with other accomplished speakers, and most of all, talking to the student body that make this institute."

Stealing the show with his talks and a riveting performance was santoor player Abhay Rustum Sopori, son of legendary santoor player, Padmashri Pandit Bhajan Sopori.
