Man threatens to end life after ex-wife refuses to return

A complaint was lodged with the Sola High Court police station on Saturday by a 22-year-old woman after her ex-husband forced her to get back with him and threatened to commit suicide if she denies him.

The incident took place in Gota, the complaint was lodged by the Sunita(Name changed), she stated in her complaint that around 9 years back got in a relationship with the accused identified as Rakesh. In the year 2016, she got married to him with her knowledge of her family and started living with him.

Two years after their marriage, the couple got divorced legally after the girl was not happy with Rakesh and she went back living with her parents.

On May 2, 2019, the victim got engaged to another man, when the matter came into the light of her ex-husband. He started following her to work every day and was forcing her to get back with him. When she denied him, the accused got angry and threatened to make their photos viral on social media to her fiance. Two days back, Rakesh called his ex-wife again and tried to convince her, but when she again denied him. Rakesh threatened to commit suicide and blame her for his death.

Taking the seriousness of the accused, the victim approached the police and lodged a complaint against her ex-husband.
