Kishorsinh Chauhan of BJP defended his position in his constituency to become a second-term MLA from Vejalpur constituency. In his second term, he plans to focus on things he was not able to in his first term. Vejalpur constituency is a mix of well-off areas of Vastrapur and Jodhpur and areas of Sarkhej, Maktampura and Vejalpur, which are inhabited by people of the poor and middle class. In relatively less wealthy areas, he plans to promote government schemes of MA Vatsalya Yojna for pregnant women and Annapurna Yojna of affordable healthy meals for the poor. In his previous stint, he used close to Rs 4 crore for making RCC roads in many of the residential colonies.  He also wants to promote employment generation schemes of the government, to target the youth. Lack of new jobs was a major concern, especially in rural areas in the recent elections.

This time he wants to continue this effort and wants to make the city dust-free by making more RCC roads in the colonies. He also wants to ease traffic woes by proposing over-bridges at Shyamal crossroads, Mansi cross roads and Keshavbag areas. Chauhan told DNA that he was available over phone for residents of the constituencies.  He will also intensify his contacts with people through weekly tours.
