Kadak Badshahi 2.0, the second edition of the play created three years ago that told stories of Ahmedabad's 600 years of history, is back in its new avatar to mesmerize the audiences.

The play, a bigger and sparkling version of the performance from three years ago, showcases various stories celebrating Ahmedabad's history and culture. It features stories of the makers of the city, the Sultans and Begums, the mill owners and workers, the British, the Dutch, the Portuguese, and others. It also features some of the makers of today's city, including architect BV Doshi, artist Amit Ambalal, Navnirman leader Manishi Jani, among others.

The play, which has been likened to a Broadway show by many, and was the most successful sold out event in the city's history, is being performed at Shreyas amphitheatre every night from January 18 to February 1.

Presented by Darpana, Kadak Badshahi 2.00 has been written by Yadavan Chandran, danseuse Mallika Sarabhai and Nisarg Trivedi. Yadavan Chandran is also the director.
