The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has joined hands with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad to offer customised training programmes to Chartered Accountants (CA) across the country. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between the ICAI and IIM-A to establish mutual co-operation between both institutes for offering and co-hosting open-enrollment and customised training programmes exclusively for CAs.

Speaking about the same, Naveen Gupta, President, ICAI said, "The MoU will bring a new dimension to the area of accounting and management education in the country. Courses conducted under the MoU will provide an opportunity for CAs to enhance their management skill sets required for key positions in business and industry. Participants will be exposed to emerging concepts, technology and business practices in achieving operational excellence."

As part of the MoU, a five-day residential programme on 'Advanced leadership programme for Chartered Accountants', has been organised at IIM-A campus which will begin on December 24. Participants will be trained about articulation, negotiation, conflict resolution, team building, and change management. The MoU will benefit the CAs in acquiring a number of skills required in today's digitised and a fast-changing business environment.
