Gujarat: Two drunk men vandalise 14 parked vehicles for fun in Chandlodiya area

A complaint was lodged with Sola police station on Wednesday early morning after two drunk men vandalised 14 parked vehicles in Chandlodiya area of the city. Cops have managed to arrest one of the accused, who told interrogators that they went on a rampage after getting drunk.

The arrested accused has been identified as Dhanraj Chavda, a resident of Chandlodiya area. As per police, the incident took place at around 2.30am. The accused came on a two-wheeler, wielding lathis, and started vandalising the vehicles parked outside housing societies. However, they managed to flee by the time the residents gathered at the spot.

A police complaint was lodged by the residents at around 3 am. Within an hour, the local police was able to arrest Chavda, The other accused in absconding and a search for him is going on.

DH Gadhvi, Inspector, Sola police station said: "During investigation, we came to know that both the accused were drunk and they started vandalising the vehicles which were parked outside the society. So far, the motive behind the act is not clear, but we suspect that they did it for fun after getting drunk."
