Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Service (AFES) team rushed in with 9 fire vehicles — including 6 water tankers and 3 firefighting vehicles — at the godown in Dileshwar estate of Singarwa. The fire was doused after a three-hour operation.

The fire must have happened when there was nobody at the factory, a fire official said, adding that it came to light once somebody saw the smoke. The fire spread quickly because plastic raw materials and moulds were stored there. No causality was reported.
