Gujarat: Girl gets death threats from her ex-lover

She stated that around two years back she came in contact with the accused identified as Akshay Shrimali, a resident of Shahpur area and started dating him.

A 20-year-old girl lodged a complaint at Vastrapur police station on Friday, stating that for the past six days her ex-boyfriend was visiting her college and was threating to kill her if she doesn't continue dating him.

As per the police, the victim is a student of the R J Tibrewal College located in Satellite area and also a resident of Satellite. She stated that around two years back she came in contact with the accused identified as Akshay Shrimali, a resident of Shahpur area and started dating him. A couple of months later, there some internal dispute broke between the two and the girl ended the relationship.

On January 7, when the girl was attending the college, she got a call from Shrimali, which she disconnected. After the incident took place Shirmali reached outside her college gate and started waiting for her. At around 11 am when the girl came out of the college, Shirmali stopped her and started shouting for not picking up his call and told her to get back with him. When the girl denied, Shirmali threatened to kill her if she didn't continue a relationship with him.

For six straight days, Shirmali continued coming to her college and threatened her.

M.M Jadeja, Inspector of Vastrapur police station, said, "We have taken the complaint and have started an investigation in the matter right now. We have even come to know that the accused is also known to the girl family members and search for him is on.

We haven't captured him yet, but he will be soon nabbed in the matter."
