Gujarat Congress president Amit Chavda told reporters that the Shakti project would enable the party to know opinion of its ground-level workers on key matters, and help in taking the correct decisions, and appealed party workers to join the project in large numbers.

The party's Gujarat in-charge Rajeev Satav said the project was among the series of steps initiated by party president Rahul Gandhi to connect with workers.

"The Shakti project will play a big role in helping the party decide its strategy in important matters," said Satav.
