They have installed more than 250 cameras across the route of the procession. The cameras will be under constant monitoring from nine control rooms all over the city. Of these nine control rooms, seven will be the police stations that fall on the route like Shahpur, Kalupur, Karanj, Shaher kotda, Gaikwad Haveli , Madhavpura.

The CCTV footages will be broadcasted on the monitors inside these police stations to make sure there are no anti-social elements trying to disrupt. All these control rooms will be supervised by a Police Inspector each . Interestingly, there are already 15 CCTV cameras that each police station monitors.

Police officers told DNA, that they have identified several sensitive areas where the probability of chaos is higher. There are 99 such spots through the route. For these spots alone, there are 150 CCTVs.  These sensitive spots will be given special attention and will be supervised strictly.

HR Muliyana, DCP, Control said, “We want this yatra to go on smoothly. A practice drill of all the CCTVs has already been done. We have checked all the blind spots along the route and have sorted those out as well.”
