The three-day monsoon session of the Gujarat assembly will commence from Monday.
The session will culminate four days later, i.e. on October 3. However, the House will meet for only three days as October 2 is a holiday in view of Gandhi Jayanti.
Little business is expected on the first day of the session as the House will be adjourned after condoling death of MLA from Surat West seat, Kishore Vankawala.
The government is expected to table a couple of bills including The Gujarat Lokayukta Aayog Bill which was recently returned by Governor Dr Kamla with stinging remarks. The state government is also expected to bring a resolution congratulating chief minister Narendra Modi as the BJP's PM candidate.
