Conversion of land from new tenure to old tenure, permission for change of land use for NA purpose, and permission for bona fide industrial purpose, are among the eight services under the land revenue code and revenue act that have been made online.
Levy of penalty for construction on land without permission, payment of conversion tax for change of use of land, provision to sell land to NA/organisation for NA purpose, and application for inheritance rights in e-Dhara system, are the other services. "With these, almost all revenue related services have now become online. This has helped in making the processes simpler, quicker, transparent, and citizen-centric," Patel said.
Revenue secretary Pankaj Kumar said the revenue department was now using technology on a large scale to provide online services through Integrated Online Revenue Applications (i-ORA). "Within just ten months, more than 10 revenue related services have been made online by the state government," he said.
The online system for conversion of land from new tenure to old tenure was launched as a pilot project on December 6, was now being implemented in the whole state. Patel said that 8,500 applications had been received, of which 55 per cent applications were approved in 7-10 days.
Lowdown
