Congress MLA from Savarkundla, Pratap Dudhat, and his colleague Vimal Chudasama from Somnath constituency shot videos during the House debate on Thursday. They both shot videos of each other asking questions during the question hour, despite the speaker warning all the members against such actions. As per the rules of Gujarat Assembly, video shooting of proceedings is banned, unless the speaker permits it. Moreover, carrying newspapers and other printed materials is also not allowed without the speaker's prior permission.

DNA tried to reach both the Congress MLAs but they were unavailable for the comment. A senior Congress MLA said: "Both members are young and first-timers. They might not have knowledge of the rules of the Assembly. They must have done this to put it up on social media to tell people in their constituencies about how active they are in the House. We will discuss this issue with them, but this should not be hyped."

The speaker had also told the House members not to change their seats during the debate, but BJP MLA from Vadodara, Manisha Vakil, changed her seat to sit next to Seema Mohile, her colleague from the same city. Both MLAs were seen chatting with each other during the House debate.
