Teenage thieves target cars
In two separate incidents, teenage boys stole bags from cars by distracting the owners. In the first incident, Manoj Rathod, a hardware shop owner lost Rs3 lakh near Gurukul crossroads.

Rathod, a resident of Chandralok society in Ranip, had come to Balaji complex near Swaminarayan Gurukul in his Swift Desire car on Saturday evening. When his driver was sitting in the car alone, a 15-year-old boy came and told him of blood dripping out of the bonnet.

When the driver was busy wiping the stains which were of some colour, the boy vanished with Rathod’s bag.

In another incident, two teenagers fled with a bag from a parked car on Relief road. Uttam Modi, a resident of Unjha, had parked his car near Bank of India at 7pm on Saturday,
He went out and asked his wife and daughter to sit in the parked car.

Meanwhile, two teenage boys approached them and told them to collect their purse from the road. When both mother and daughter were busy looking for the purse, the teenagers stole a bag from the car and vanished.

According to Modi, the bag contained Rs12,500 cash, keys of house and office, and a souvenir of blessings given by CM Narendra Modi during the marriage of his daughter. 

Eunuchs fight over territory
A fight over territorial dominance once again resulted in a violent clash between two groups of eunuchs in Vastrapur.

According to Jagruti De, 27, a resident of Juna Vadaj, she and her group hold control over Satellite, Bopal, Ambli and Thaltej. On Sunday morning, Nitu De, leader of the eunuchs of the eastern part of the city, attacked rival gang members at a tea stall near Mansi circle.

After collecting money from their areas in the morning, Jagruti along with Puja De and Ramola De came to Mansi circle for tea. Just then, Nitu De and her bodyguards Raju and Junaid came in a car and asked Jagruti to hand over the money collected by them. In return, she promised good returns and protection.

On being refused, Nitu De’s bodyguards started beating them up. Locals gathered at the spot forcing Nitu De to make a quick exit. Based on her statement, Vastrapur police lodged a case against Nitu, Raju and Junaid for assaulting Jagruti.

4 injured in bike accident
On Sunday evening at 7:30pm, a youngster riding a Harley Davidson bike, lost control on 132 feet road and rammed into two persons, including a cyclist.

Eyewitnesses said the bike was going on 100kmph speed. Both, the rider and the one on pillion, were injured severely. The cyclist Vinod Yadav was admitted to VS hospital where he was critical till latest reports came in.
