Boy rapes girl, friends record the act

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenager while two other teenagers clicked the entire incident on  a mobile phone. And then, the three boys even circulated the clip among their friends and others. The three boys were detained late on Saturday evening.

According to case details, 14-year-old Radha (name changed) lives with her parents at a village in Kalol taluka of Gandhinagar and studies in the 10th standard. Since her village does not have a secondary school, she took admission in a school based in Kalol town.

During her up and down journey from home to school by bus, she came in touch with three teenagers of her village who were studying in a Kalol-based ITI (Industrial Training Institute) and used the same bus to commute. After frequent meetings on the bus, Radha became a close friend of the trio.

Taking advantage of her innocence, the three boys asked the girl to meet them after school at some secluded place near their village. So, the girl met the boys outside a primary school on the evening of June 11. When she arrived, the three boys took her by force to the school terrace. There, one of them allegedly raped Radha while the other two clicked the gory incident on their mobile phone. That was not all.

The three teenagers then had the audacity to circulate the clip among their friends. Later, the clip also reached the mobile phones of other villagers, who told the girl’s father about a clip showing a girl resembling his daughter. After seeing her own daughter in the clip, he lodged a complaint against the three teenagers with the Kalol taluka police on Saturday.

“Following the complaint, the trio was detained,” said police inspector BN Dave.

Following the complaint, the police started their probe and seized the mobile clip before sending it for forensic tests.

Meanwhile, it was also learned that the police have found a packet of condoms from the terrace of the school where Radha was allegedly raped and filmed.

Based on these evidences, the police have launched a hunt for the three boys.
