BJP chief Amit Shah will officially launch Lok Sabha polls campaign in Gujarat on Tuesday. Shah will address Karyakarta Sammelan in Ahmedabad and Godhra to infuse temperament among BJP cadres.

Shah is also going to launch a nation-wide official campaign for the elections, 'Mera Ghar BJP Ka Ghar' from Ahmedabad.

The convention is held at a community hall located near SG Highway.

However, Shah's presence at a convention of the party at Godhra is significant as the town is also connected to the Godhra Train Carnage of February 27, 2002. The massacre took toll of 59 kar sevak who were returning to Ahmedabad from Ayodhya after Kar seva and that resulted into riots widespread in state.

A BJP leader on condition of anonymity said, "Amitbhai's presence at cluster convention in Godhra is just coincidence and it was never scheduled keeping the incident of carnage in mind. But it is possible that the leader may pay homage to deceased persons who were victimised of unfortunate event and lost their lives."

"He will be focused on agenda of development by PM Narendra Modi government in last five years though. He will also speak on false campaign by our political opponents against the BJP government in centre," the leader added.

The BJP cadres, however, expect that Shah might also talk on challenges before party in Gujarat. The BJP chief is likely to meet top brass of the state leaders in meanwhile. Probably he might arrive on Monday evening and would meet leaders at his residence in late night.

"Amit Shah is the political strategist and he has multiple solutions for single issue. He will also guide us on the issues related to Gujarat. As there is unrest among Congress MLAs and workers these days, many of them join BJP after Amitbhai's visit to Gujarat. He will also discuss the planning of events related to PM Narendra Modi's visit to Gujarat scheduled later in month," the BJP leader further added.
