Bitcoin trader ends life, blames DySP & brother

On Saturday late night, a 45-year-old man committed suicide in his house, leaving a suicide note blaming a DySP and his brother for his death. In the suicide note, the victim alleged that the cops and his brother had given five bitcoins to him for trading after he lost it during trading, both started harassing him.

The deceased has been identified as Bharat Patel,45, a resident of Balram society located in Ranip area. As per police Patel was working a bitcoin trader and lived with his family. On Saturday night, he and his family member had gone to sleep at the terrace.

On Sunday morning at around 6 am when his family member came down, the door was locked from inside. Despite several times knocking at the door, Patel didn't respond and the family members had to break the door. As they entered the room they saw Patel had committed suicide by was hanging to the ceiling.

Regarding the matter, Ranip police were called to spot and during the investigation, a suicide note was recovered from his room. In the note, he had made serious allegation on a DySP Chirag Savani and his brother Harnish Savani of mentally harassing him and due to their pressure, he had committed suicide.

He had alleged that around two years back, the two had come to him to invest in bitcoin trading. During which they had invested in five bitcoin. In the trading, Patel lost their bitcoin, regarding the matter when the duo came to know they started harassing Patel for returning back their bitcoins. "The duo used to call him and used to threaten him," said Patel's daughter.

After the family members came to know about the allegation, they demanded a senior police officer should investigate the matter and suicide note and other belonging of Patel will be hand over senior officials only. Regarding the matter the DCP Zone-2 Dharmendra Sharma, himself reached the spot with other police officials took the complaint and evidence.

Sharma stated that "Right now we have taken a case accidental death in the matter and we will investigate the matter."
