After spike in swine flu cases the authorities at the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) decided to create public awareness. On Monday, municipal commissioner Vijay Nehra had held a meeting with the health officials and asked them to conducted awareness drive at temples, malls, schools, colleges and public places.
A team from the central government has landed in Ahmedabad and will be conducting a survey for three days. The civic official informed that there is no need to panic, the only precaution is necessary to avoid going out in the public places and mass gatherings.
Civic body will conduct a meeting with all private practitioners today and inform them regarding the preventive measures. Hospitals have been asked to keep isolation beds as per the guidelines for seasonal flu. With a sudden nip in temperature, the virus H1N1 is getting conducive atmosphere to thrive. The experts are expecting that once the temperature will rise the positive cases will reduce.
