To counter Opposition's social media campaign 'Vikas Gando Thayo Che', which is viral on the Internet, BJP will launch a social media campaign focusing on Centre's and PM Modi's contribution in Gujarat's development ahead of the Assembly polls to be held in December. It will be youth-centric.

A senior leader from the party said, "Gujarat BJP has decided to pitch in a positive social media campaign to counter 'Vikas Gando Thayo Che'. But, it will be designed in such a way that it looks fresh and innovative and people forget 'Vikas Gando Thayo Che'."

"During the Yuva Townhall on Sunday, BJP chief Amit Shah had instructed the party leaders to design a powerful and positive social media campaign on the basis of statistics. We are working towards that," he added.

Addressing mediapersons, Jaitley said, "BJP in Gujarat has started its preparations for Assembly polls. Since I and Nirmalaji have worked for the polls in Gujarat, we are going to make an efficient campaign for social and mainstream media."

He added, "As BJP has been ruling Gujarat for many years and the Gujarat model has remained very popular in other states too, we will focus on it. There is an atmosphere of trust among the voters towards the BJP government and party's roots are very deep here."
