Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh advocated that the all political parties should be responsible towards the dignity of the constitutional institutions. Singh was in Gandhinagar on Thursday to attend the Western Region Interstate Council meeting and referring to the issue of centre's recommendation to collegium to reconsider the name of Uttarakhand high court chief justice KM Joseph for the appointment to the Supreme Court.

Rajnath said, "I think it is the responsibility of all the political parties and institutions to maintain respect and dignity of constitutional institutions. May it be government or non-government institutions. All should made attempts so that trust of commonman for constitutional institutions remain intact and grow further continuously. It is necessary for clean and healthy democracy."

However, the union minister avoid to make specific comment on the issue and said, he ddi not think it was fair to make comment on judiciary. Talking over the Kathua minor rape case and hatred messages following to that, Rajnath Singh said that the central government would not tolerate any hatred message spread.

He said, "Our government would not tolerate any such attempt to spread hatred on communal lines and the perpetrators will be dealt with in the strictest manner". Talking over the ordinance against fugitive economic offenders, the union home minister said that the number of fugitive offenders was less during the current government and that number was considered high in past governments.

Rajnath, talking to media persons here said that the mantra of the PM Modi-led BJP government in centre during next Lok Sabha polls will be developed only. He said, "We will take up the issue of development and good governance during next Lok Sabha polls and we will go in public with the same issues. When the UPA government was in power, the inflation rate was double of GDP growth rate, while during our government, we could control the inflation rate at the half of the GDP growth rate."

Rajnath also said that Modi government's policy was to maintain cordial relations with all the neighbouring countries.
