A 24-year-old youth has filed a police complaint naming his own maternal uncle and five others of trying to kidnap him.
According to a complaint filed with the Shaher Kotda police station by one Abhishek Solanki, a resident of Bapunagar, his maternal uncle and five others tried to kidnap him in a car on Saturday late night.
The youth told the police that his own mother is behind the kidnapping.
According to him, his parents have separated since 2012 and his father moved from Surat to Ahmedabad. A year ago, the youth who till then had been living with his mother too moved to Ahmedabad due to constant disagreement and fights. He had since then joined his father's business.
The complaint states that on Saturday, his maternal uncle called to meet him and when he met him he asked him to come with him as he wanted to talk to him.
When the youth resisted, five more people came in a car and tried to push him in.
He began shouting and locals hearing his shouts came to his help and nabbed the six. Cops said they are yet to question the victim's mother
