Ahmedabad weather report: Expect cloudy Saturday & then rains

While majority of Ahmedabad remained dry to humid on Friday, several parts did receive benevolence of the rain gods.

Meanwhile, City met department has predicted cloudy skies with possibility of rain or thundershowers in some parts of the city on Saturday.

Most of the precipitation was reported from south and east zone of the city with the former getting around 4mm of rainfall. City overall received 1.9mm of rainfall, but it was enough to leave a few arterial roads waterlogged.

Ahmedabad now is only 143mm rain-deficient as it so far has received 590mm of rainfall since beginning of June. Ahmedabad district so far has received 64% of its average rain of 695mm.

Rain was also reported from 17 talukas in 10 districts of the state, with Jamkandorna in Rajkot receiving the highest rainfall of 28mm. Gujarat has received 70% of its average rainfall of 798mm.

Met department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at few places in all districts of Gujarat. Isolated showers are expected at a few places in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
