In his complaint lodged with the Navrangpura police, Pattani alleged that Mohanbhai along with eight others allegedly kidnapped his wife when they were standing near a garage at Mithakhali. Pattani and Madhu had reportedly come to Mithakhali in their Hyundai Ascent car from Asarwa to get their car repaired.

At 10:30 am, when they were standing near the car at the garage, Mohan and his men came in a Maruti van along with two bikes and started arguing with his wife Madhu. Before any one could react, Mohan and his men forced Madhu to sit in the van before fleeing the spot. Pattani immediately approached the Navrangpura police and lodged a compliant against his father-in-law and eight unidentified people.

Primary investigation revealed that Pattani is an oil merchant having his business in Asarwa area and is married to Madhu for more than 10 years now. Police is on a hunt for the kidnappers.
