Most districts in Gujarat did not receive rain. However, Surat received 1.6 mm of rain till 5:30 pm on Wednesday. The state registered 169 mm rainfall.
For Thursday, the India Meteorological Department has made a forecast of moderate to heavy rain or thundershower at many places in all districts of South Gujarat region. The same forecast is made for Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
The Met department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower for isolated places in Kutch and in parts of districts of north Gujarat region and Saurashtra. Ahmedabad may get a few spells of rain or thundershower.
“It was after three days of continuous rain in Amreli that we could see some sunshine which will help curb mosquito menace,” said Kamlesh Pandya, a bank employee in Amreli.
In Ahmedabad, maximum temperature was 35 degree Celsius, four degrees lower than normal. Minimum temperature was 25.8 degree Celsius, one degree lower than normal.
