Ahmedabad: Gas pipeline catches fire, no casualties

On Friday morning, a fire broke out in Adani gas pipeline passing near Jivraj Mehta hospital, two fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the situation. 

The incident took place at around 11.45am near Ayojannagar society located near Jivraj Mehta hospital. As per fire officials, there was some drainage work was going on in the near, for which the construction labours were digging up the road to change the drainage pipeline. While they were using the JCB to dig the road one of the Adani gas pipelines got damaged and it started leaking and the fire was broke in it. As per senior fire officials, within one hour of operation, the fire was taken under control and the vehicles returned to the station. 

PAST INSTANCE

On March 29,  there was fire broke out in Adani CNG gas pipelines located in the New Ranip area, during which one of labourer sustained burn injuries and was rushed to the hospital
