According to the police, late night on Friday a dispute broke out between Krunal and his neighbours — identified as Madanlal Berwa, Krusnakant Berwa, and Rohit Berwa — who had been accusing Krunal of stalking their women; this was an ongoing issue between the victim and the accused since a few days.

On Friday night, Krunal, who had returned home in a drunken state, began hurling abuses at Madanlal upon seeing him. Madanlal's sons in their father's defence began beating Krunal. During the fight, the trio beat up Krunal with lathis following which he sustained several injuries. But the fight was resolved as other neighbours intervened after which Krunal went into his house and fell asleep.

The next morning, Krunal's relative repeatedly knocked on the door and rang the doorbell but no one answered. Despite several attempts, when Krunal didn't answer the door, the neighbours got suspicious and informed the police.

The police upon reaching the spot broke the door and found Krunal's body lying on the bed. The police lodged a complaint after the allegation that Krunal died because of the beating on Friday. Further investigation is underway.
