Ahmedabad: After death threat by neighbour, woman flees husband's home

In a shocking incident, a married woman lodged a complaint against her neighbour, alleging he threatened to kill her. An official complaint was lodged with Sarkhej police station on Saturday against her neighbour for threatening to stab her.

Fearing she would be stabbed, the woman left her husband’s home and returned to her parent’s house instead.

According to the police, the complaint was lodged by the victim Amrinbanu Painter, a housewife who resides along with her husband and daughter at Alif flat located in Fatewadi area of the city.

In her complaint, she alleged on Saturday afternoon while she was on her way to pick her daughter from school, the accused identified as Shahrukh was standing in a parking lot, who soon approached her and threatened to stab her after verbally abusing her.

After the incident, the victim fearing for her life, picked her daughter from school and went to her parent’s home. She received a call from the accused, threatening to kill her if she returned to her husband’s place.
