Ahmedabad: 3 vandalise Domino’s outlet after refund denied

A complaint was lodged with the Paldi police station on Saturday morning after three customers vandalized Domino’s outlet located in Paldi area after the service staff didn’t refund their product.

The complaint was lodged by victim Chintan Solanki,26, a resident of Naroda and working as the Assistant Manager of the Domino’s outlet located at Shuk Shanti Complex in Paldi.

He stated in his complaint that, on Friday night at around 10.30 pm, three men came inside the shop and ordered a cheese dip pizza worth Rs 850. Later, the customer came to know they didn’t get a cheese dip pizza and asked for a refund. As per the rules, an Rs 50 refund for the cheese dip was given to the customer by staff. But the customer wanted a full refund and started arguing with the staff. When the staff denied for the full refund, the started leaving the store.

While leaving the store, the trio started abusing the staff for their service. When the security guard told them to stop abusing, the trio slapped the guard and left the spot.

At midnight some men came in a white colour Honda city car and started throwing a stone at the store. In this incident, three windows of the store got broken, the computer got damaged and one of the staff sustained minor injuries and the miscreant fled from the spot.

BS Rabari, Inspector of Paldi police station said, “ We have not recovered any CCTV footage of the incident, the staff suspects the customers, who earlier came at the shop are behind the vandalising and have started an investigation in the matter.“
